Nice work Jack and Kevin .The Granirapid. Is it like an organic, like a mastic?

And I would like to thank you guys for the kind words.Like I said, ever since I seen a niche that Jack^^ did in the Craziest pics,Ive been fascinated with the "whole" protruding trav polished look niche thing.Kinda like tryin to pull a Jordan move @ the pick up game. That shower I did was really for a friend of mine, kinda like a favor kinda thing.I really just made the niche for practice, and didnt really do it for profit(there wasnt much).

I see you doing all this work to waterproof..have you ever done kerdi? We Waterproof in 1 day and install the next with it... just curious why not.

Well to tell you the truth, its mostly about availabilty.Where I live, the specialty items like the Shluters and the Laticretes arent available within reasonable reach, and I just dont have alot of overhead to be orderin rolls od stuff.Im absolutely sold on the Kerdi idea and look forward to usin it as well as the stuff that Noble has to offer.Like I said, for me,and for now,its all about availability.I couldve been settin the next day,but since this was like a "favor" job,I was doin in between others.I flood tested just for the heck of it.I couldve set the next.To tell you the truth, the divot doesnt take that long,I filled in the divot set the floor w/RS and grouted the same day.Until I try the Kerdi I cant give an accurate comparison, but I will soon.....

Here are some more progress pics..yeah we horse around some times!!!

Small master shower in progress. Checker board pattern will dot inserts. Custom cut bullnose pieces on the edges.

Guest Bath. Kohler Cast Iron tub going in, after a full day of plumbing repairs.

Tub installed, and now work begins on the tub splash. The home owner chose the slate. It's going to make a really cool looking tub surround. Can't wait to finish it up to see how it turns out.

800 sq ft on a diagonal. 16in porcelain. The used a laser for layout lines. Quite the distance from the dining room wall to the utility room door. Will be starting on the backsplash soon.

The homeowner would not let me remove the base. I pushed and pushed to let me remove, but to no avail. Oh well, we'll manage. Just have to charge a bit more , as our edge cuts have to be more accurate, so every thing lines up in a straight line. We are leaving about a 1/4 in between the base and the tile, which we'll caulk.

The walls are pretty square, but of course not perfect, so the edges cuts have to be cut individually instead of ripping them all at once.

Anyways make good progress! My estimate was a little high on the sq footage. Actual sq footage came in just under 700 sq ft. I now have about 400 sq ft set.

Next is the fun part, the kitchen, which will require more time, with the nooks and under the cabinets.

Nice work everybody!

Just sealed my in-laws new bathroom here. I helped the plumber move the tub in, was a little nervous when he filled it up to test. No cracks. Laticrete 254 and Permacolor, no worries.

Hey bro, looks good, nice job too- Why not use shoe molding on the base? looks better than caulking IMO.

Wow, I'm jealous.

I did lay 2500 feet of tile last week, but it was in 5 condos including 5 kitchens and 15 bathrooms-

Still I love the big jobs, just rarely get them.

Brian. What SLC did you use & how did you apply it? Pump it or barrel mix & gauge rake ?
I did 1600 sq ft 2 years ago all by barrel K-15 but recently used Ardex`s new G S4 .
Looks nice & flat!!!!
