Looks super classy, I always like subways. That vent is pretty slick, can you still lift it up?

Not too shabby. I've installed wavy tile a few times and it's pretty tough to grout where the peaks line up from one tile to the next, also a bit messy where the Schluter covers the edge. Any pearls of wisdom on dealing with those issues?

We just make sure the grout is pretty firm and wash carefully as to not over dress the joint. As far as metal strips we set the edge of the metal to the highest peaks in the tile and give a small joint between the tile edge and the metal.

I feel like a scrub posting my stuff on here, it's pretty pedestrian compared to what you guys are doing! Anyway here's some recent work-
Old-school bathroom floor mosaic, before grout

Tub face and surround-those beveled subway tiles look nice when they're done, but sure are a pain to grout!

The other corner, this was a long and skinny bathroom so it was hard to get a whole photo of the tub! Sheetrock guys had somehow managed to fill about half of the brand new jetted tub with mud when they did the ceiling, clogging 2 of the vents in the process-ouch!

A few more-did 4 bathrooms in this house, 12x24's grouted with Flexcolor Warm Grey. Can't remember the brand but it was a really nice, straight tile.

Thought I'd really screwed up on the right-hand tile under the jamb-I already had the rest of the room set, and realized that it was going to be nearly impossible to get that particular tile under the jamb, against the tub face, and against the inside wall in one piece. Ended up having to cut a channel with an elbow in it to get it in place, made it with about 3/8" to spare! Breathed a sigh of relief when that one was in place.

Looks good from here, Cody.

I always hate to have to cut those large format tiles around a door jamb, so I try to remember to leave out the tile around it, maybe just dry-lay them in place so I can get measurements.

Too often I get on a roll and forget, though.

Thanks Chuck, yes the customer really picked out some nice materials for us to use. Most people do what they want and these people listened to what I had to say. Worked out nice. Yes the center section of the vent comes out very easily. Using 2 more on current job. Yesterday when I brought them into my current job all tiled, the customer was just amazed.

Karl amazing work, love the tub area in first one.

Cody that fact you are posting here puts you at another level.

4'X4' Porcelain Tiles

Well the title says work in progress so I thought I would post a pic of what we recently laid down. This was the first time we laid such large tiles and had to actually purchase a new saw for the job (Rubi 250). Given the large format of these special order tiles from Italy let's say making mistakes on them wasn't an option.

We are laying the tile down first because the baseboards go on before the drywall is hung. Baseboards will be flush with the drywall.

Another challenge we had is that these tiles had a texture to them so none of our suction cups would lift them so there where a few bruised fingers after this was set.

Floor was then covered with 1/2 plywood so the follow on trades wouldn't hurt the tile.

We are now moving onto the shower (11'x5') Will post pics during the progress
