Thanks, guys. It's been quite a project.
The original builder went bankrupt after this one was dried in had the felt paper down.
I picked up the pieces after the shell had sat for 6-8 months. Finished it all out so the tile was just a small part portion of it.

Deco drain at edge of house......Concrete pitch 3/8" per ft. Not sure I see the purpose of it....and debated weather to tile over it.....but figured there's a reason for it?
It's the first deco drain I've seen, used in this fashion. Possibly it's incase on a monsoon rain storm? It's below the elevation of the main house by 4-5"s btw.

Nice work Laz. What is that long stainless box? Is that the faucet controls? I've not seen that one yet.

Rich,
They act as an expansion joint + drain + screed edge. When you buy them they have heavy tape along the top to keep them free of ceement while pouring.

Jerry, yes...it's a control center for the Rainhead and the Handheld unit. I've never seen one either. Whole system is over $600!

Yea Paul I get all that, have seen and used em before.
Just thought it strange that it was used against the wall, and slab has plenty of positive pitch, and is below grade of house by 4"s.
Seen lots of exterior lanais here in FL below finish, and ext slab generally up tight against the house, with felt fiber exp.

Nelson WOW, a bunch of nice work there I was looking at that diagonal niche trying to figure out how you did it. At first I thought it was one piece but took a closer look. Looks like your skills were perfect for this family
The car wash unit in Laz's shower, nice work btw, we did something similar a few years ago for the rain shower though it was a little different. We had never done one like this and haven't since. This one was unique in that half the bathroom was sloped to one wall with 2 line drains side to side our first ever. One side had a stand alone tub and this shower on the other side.
Paul yes we just had a big argument over in TGs on the same issue. IMO bottom line the customer signs the check and they can't have it any way they want it. Many do things by the book and only by the book the rest of us are Frankenhacking away giving the customer what they want. They have to live with it we don't. Standards are one thing, opinions another
Lastly we just finished a fiberglass to marble subway tile. No feature band, no niche, no seat........... She picked out the leather finish granite for the curb and I had them make shelves which she liked. Kept it simple on this one and made as much as having to deal with the large format challenge. Sometimes simple is nice, rare but we give the customer what they want. First magnetic showerhead hand-held

Seeing the quality of work displayed here makes me damn glad I'm retired. Don't think I'd be able to compete nowadays.

Thankfully I don't get anything too challenging. Patience is not my virtue.
