Oh, and you don't need to seal or otherwise special treatment for the crazed Sonoma tile. As you say Greg, it can be difficult to cut clean Wirhout loosing some glaze right at the cut edge. I have tried cutting slightly oversize and sanding with a disc sander. Varied results. There is no easy cure for that stuff...nature of the beast I guess.

Here's the master bath of a home I spent half of last year on, recently had it photographed.
Calcutta gold steamer, floated walls, kerdi, heated floor, shower floor and sloped back bench. Cut down the 2 x 12 herringbone and the 7/8" limestone border (300 linear feet). Proline tile top linear drain. It was fun. 1 of 8 bathrooms in the house. I had about 350 hours in this bathroom alone. You can't really tell in this pic but the herringbone pieces in the niches are the cutoffs from outside the niche. At the right angle the niches almost disappear. Anyway...
