Scottish Tile and Stone since u use hydroban waterproofing..what kinda mesh tape do u like to use?..and what backer board do u like using?

That is a dark kitchen Gary, but it looks great!

Donnie, Hydroban doesn't require mesh. Are you talking about the tape for the boards? I'm confused - that's not unusual.

I use the usg tape, but it isn't six inches.

I use Laticrete's 6" fiberglass fabric at the joint between the walls and the shower pan. Not required but just for extra insurance. All the joints in the cement board I fill with 253 RS and mesh with the alkaline resistant cbu mesh tape from HD. Once dry I paint the 2 coats of Hydroban on it.
