The ball girl clip is cool, but I pointed out in my post that it was trickery.

Hey Brian, your first video in post #245 is Mike Parson riding a 64 ft wave
100 miles off of San Diego at a place called the Cortez Banks. Possibly the
biggest waves in the world. A shallow mountain range exists under the ocean
surface and when the swells hit them they lift upwards of 80 to 100 ft.
Here is a longer version of your Struck Tsunami vid, check it

Edit: Thats Jaws, not Cortez Banks

Oh man you know I've been busy if you all have been posting clips of surfing and I don't even know about it.
That clip in question is the opening scene to a movie called "Step Into Liquid" by Dana Brown. He is the son of "The Endless Summer" filmmaker Bruce Brown.
Really interesting movie as they catch surf from Ireland to Texas to Wisconsin.
Here is the trailer.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqzHvcwJmQY

Dan, I love to watch those guys who kite surf in your neck of the woods. Some of those dudes get some serious elevation. I presume they have some control over that, but after a certain number of feet, they may as well be coming down on concrete instead of water.
