Heres a fireplace and some granite tile counters i did for meh mom working
on her front porch tomorrow. been prepping it for the last 2 days will begin
setting it in the morning.
The stove has a fan that blows the heat down under the subfloor. This was
an interesting challenge for me. i had never put together a self rimming stove.
most sit inside the edges of the tile. i had to get the cabinet height, cap rail
and mud height with granite within adjustable tolerances of the feet on the
stove.
ill have to post a closeup of the stove tomorrow, i noticed this photo doesnt
do any justice to what i described

This is my doggie, Lefty. She loves to catch everything... including shovels full of snow! She's really old and still tries to catch tennis balls, but she has much better accuracy catchin the snow.

I finally got a chance to get out of the rat race and onto some good ole
beer drinkin an fishin on the colorado river with my wife kids- an my brothers
family. Been away since friday morning. Had a great time. Heres a shot of the
real London Bridge brought over and rebuilt on lake Havasu. Man it was
good to get away

Marni, That's a wonderful shot. I call them squill, but I think the botanical name is scilla. When they're naturalized, the effect is . . . well, look halfway down this page http://www.obhs.net/1b.html .

No, John, I found it with a Google image search. I wanted to be sure it was squill, because I'd never looked at my squill from a nose length away. Can't focus that close anymore.

That's a lot of squill! I love those blanket pictures like that! The biggest patch I have is only about 12"x12". Must be cause I keep splitting them so I get a splash of color here and there in early spring. Yeah, actually got dirt IN my lens shooting the squill and the crocuses. I was !!! The lens wouldn't extend and there was grinding sound. Fortunately several (and I mean several!) hard taps around the lens knocked all the dirt out and it operates fine again. Whew!

Heres a new yellow flower i planted this last weekend after i got home
from lake havasu. Also included is a full shot of my epiphylum in mid bud.
should be blooming in a week or 2. There is a young white flowered epi in the
pot to the right that is almost a year old. With epi's you can take a cut
branch and lay it out to dry for 2 weeks or so and replant it and it will still
grow strong. If anyone is interested in having a clip from the big epi send
me a pm and ill mail you a branch. Its a very sturdy plant but takes a couple
years to produce the enormous flowers ill be posting again in a couple weeks.
This time photos will be taken on my new 5 mp digi camera.
