I am looking to buy 2 vapor proof lights for my steam shower. Dose anyone know of a source other than the mason jar type?

Here's what I've got in my shower. Check your local codes first to see if this is suitable for a steam shower.

Those may be OK, but they make me nervous. They don't look like they have a real tight seal (could be wrong). The Home Depot guys will tell you can use any shower trim that is enclosed, has a foam gasket and is rated for wet locations. I think they're nuts and those trims should only be used above open showers or similar locations and couldn't handle a steamroom where they are pounded by steam constantly.

I found these in my travels:Steam&Sauna Lights (3/4 down the page)

But then I wound up just using a solid glass wall/door and moving my recessed can light just outside the shower. Still get plenty of light that way but none of the steam-leaking headaches. If you had a larger shower (mine is only 4' wide and 3' deep and were worried about the light coming far enough in you could even put in one of those wall washers trims to focus the light inside the shower.

I'm putting in a pair of these myself, Juno IC44N with white 441W trim. Might be what you're looking for:

Another thing I like is that they're American. Wear the union label.

I looked for options a couple of years ago for my sauna and ended up using the Jar type in the end.Grrrrrrrrrr.I will say this. While they arent the most attractive, they are very functional and have never caused a problem. Its too late for me, but i wish you luck in your search.Mine are there to stay

After much searching, I purchased a vaporproof light for the ceiling of my steam shower from this firm located in Canada:

Their service and pricing were excellent. The product is well constructed.
