Tile to carpet transition...should I caulk? Spectralock RULES!

Howdy and Good Morning!

I just did my first spectralock grouting last night for a small entryway in our basement/Den. I did not want to use tile trim, as I like the look of direct tile/carpet contact. I was planning on putting some clear caulk under the "lip" of the tiles next to the sliding glass door to prevent any moisture underneath. Should I do the same around the edges of the tiles that will be butted up to the carpet, or does it matter? I have posted a pickie---Sorry it is a little dark....I started grouting at 9:00pm.....and finished the washes at 11. MUCH easier than regular grout....I was shocked.

If I do not caulk all the way around, do I need to finish the edge with anything at all before the carpetman gets here? Thank you!

Miss Amy

Caulking the seam against the sliding door is more for asthetics than anything else. You don't need to caulk all the way around.

Tile is made to be wet. Water typically won't bother it.

most definitely caulk up against the slider.

and your carpet will tuck to the tile so you don't need any edging of sorts.
