New Swing Machine

I am ordering a new 17" swing machine tomorrow. I have narrowed it down to the janilink bulldozer and the mercury boss. The bulldozer uses horse shoe weights and is $570 more. The boss uses unicorn weights and comes with 3 aprons. Which would you choose?

Welcome to the forum, Chris.

I moved your thread over here to the pro hangout where it's more likely to be seen by someone who knows something about those machines.

Welcome Chris! If you could post a link to what you are referring to it might help the cause. I think it will let you post links at 3 posts. Might be the 4th?

I'm looking into buying one of these machines. Which one would you choose?

Hi Christopher. What are you going to use it for? The Mercury looks perhaps too lightweight for all but light buffing. I'd much rather have a used heavy-duty true commercial machine for probably the same price. I don't have any experience with the Janilink, but it looks like a much better machine to me.
I've been using one of these for epoxy grouting lately, man what a lifesaver on the big floor jobs.

Hi Tom, I will be using the machine for honing and polishing.I have decided on the bulldozer. It is more heavy duty and uses horseshoe weights compared to unicorn weights. It appears to be a re-branded hawk and looks like it is built like a tank.I need something for the long haul. Thanks for your advice.
