2 questions (Curb & Hardiebacker above shower pan)

Bc it's fiber cement, we installed it where it's not embedded.

I know that once the tile is installed, it will be sealed, not grouted, at the seam.

1. Do we need to do anything between where the hardiebacker ends and the shower pan begins? Such as silicone?

Or, do we tile as usual and seal the tiles along the seam only?

2. We used Aquadefense on the walls, but not the floor, as we have the liner below the bed. Is there anything special to do to the curb? My husband is terrified it's going to leak there. We did everything we read to do here. Preslope, liner (over curb and corner pieces added), water test, no punctures below 6 inches, no punctures on curb top or inside, etc.

Is it appropriate to use the Aquadefense over the curb? Or no bc of the liner?

I think in both cases there's nothing you need to do. The liner will work if installed properly.
