I am planning on using a tumbled stone mosaic listello on the walls around my bathroom. It has the mesh backing. I read earlier discussions about the glue disolving in water and the pieces seperating. This is the kind of listello that has the interlocking pieces at the ends so in the corners I would have to cut it on a wet saw...but then would that disolve the glue? Maybe it would be easier to seperate them all on purpose and just mount each piece indivudually!

Albert,

When you get to the corners, put in only the full pieces that will fit. You can cut the listel apart from the back.

Then cut the individual pieces on the wet saw and set them one at a time.

You are correct. If you tried running the whole listel through the saw, it would come apart.

....unless of corse you taped the top side with duct tape first, and then set the unit and left the duct tape in place until the wall adhesive had thoroughly dried..

Sounds a bit Rube Goldberg to me. We're only talking two or three small pieces.

Well then if that's all it is by all means use duct tape, it's no big deal is it.
