Hello. Holidays, waiting for the grinding wheel and dust shroud, plus being sick pushed work back some but I got the floor ground and increased the slope tremendously. I got all the under cut cleaned out well. The drain is ready to be set and motared and will be done this week. This grinding wheel and dust shroud along with the diamond multi blade made it possible and worth every penny on amazon. All the faux marble porcelain hex is here so we’re about ready to tile.

Got the drain set and did some final grinding on the floor. Should be able to lay the floor next weekend.

Yes, thank you it feels like it. I think this layout came out straighter or more square than the original so that’s nice.

Grouted on Monday with the same hydroment sanded rapid cure bostik and took first showers Sat. Only a couple showers in but so far so good. Seems all the grout lines are drying out within a reasonable amount of time. And no water being expressed from the grout lines around the drain when the rest is fairly dry like before. First pic is immediately after a shower at 2:22pm and the second is after it was mostly dry about 5pm

So we are several dozen showers in at this point and all the grout lines are drying up pretty uniformly and within a few hours. I would say the issues are resolved. Thank you everyone for your time and input.
