Gas buddy says the cheapest regular gas in Houston is $1.58, diesel is $1.82

More like $2.74 US per gallon as I calculate it. They use them little bitty dollars up there.

1 usa gallon is equal to 3.78 litres, so about $ 3.78 per gallon

Canadian dollar is now trading at about 72 cents compared to the US dollar, which is where I got the $2.74 US figure.

I never thought we'd see gas under $2 a gallon again. Not complaining though! The best I've seen around here is $1.64 today.
