The 3/8" thick single glass panel I need has been ordered. Final dimensions are 48"W x 92-7/16"H. Total cost delivered came in at $896. Not too bad really. I am using Schluter Deco-SG u channel for the glass. Installing myself with a helper. The panel itself will weigh about 150#.
The folks at glassshowerdirect.com were genuinely helpful and so far I am quite happy with their service. My glass should arrive by June 10.

Good luck with the install. I watched the professionals bring it in and install ours. I am not sure I would have wanted to do that. The panel never touched the floor they always rubber blocks under the panel. Ours went into a second story bathroom so the glass panel came through a window on the stairs landing. That was fun to watch. Are you doing anything to support the top outside corner. We have a clip on that corner that is mounted to the ceiling.

The top will get a bead of clear silicone on the inside and outside. No corner clip needed.
I have installed tempered glass panels before. No stairs to contend with but it will be tight getting the panel stood up into position. Definitely won't be touching any hard surfaces with it! I have clear silicone shims to set the glass on in the Deco-SG.
Before install I'll work with a sheet of 3/4" plywood cut to the glass panel size. Have to rehearse the motions needed to get the panel into the bathroom and stood up. Practice makes perfect.

I do indeed! I wouldn't try handling a panel this size without them.
My plumber has gone awol so I have been busy relocating electrical to make room for the two new windows in the bedroom. Probably install the windows tomorrow then work on the new closet and lay the PEX loops.
I may end up having to finish the plumbing myself.

Well, the plumber I have been using has bailed out. I've got about two weeks to finish up, so I'll be doing the plumbing work myself to get this thing done.

Yep, been a while I know. I have been hiking the Appalachian Trail since June 20 (started in Maine and headed South). I'm home for a couple of days so I thought I'd post an update.
Before I left on my hike I got close to finishing but didn't manage to finish it all. The shower is done (mostly, no glass yet) and works great. I really like the Moen U controller. Here are a few in progress pictures.

So, you had to fly alla way home from Georgia to work on your shower, Joe?

Nah, started in Maine, finished that and New Hampshire. When I go back on trail I'll start Vermont and continue heading South.

Looking great, Joe, and yup - the electronic shower valves are surprisingly cool.
