Welcome, Greg.
The ceramic tile industry standards call for a flexible sealant in that joint. That's to fill the joint while providing movement accommodation. 100 percent silicone is the most common recommendation for such sealants in wet areas, and such sealants are available in colors and textures to match whatever grout you are using.
Grout in that joint will crack. How your shower receptor was constructed, which we do not know, will usually determine how much and how soon, but it will crack. Whether or not you care is up to you. If your receptor is properly waterproofed, it will not matter at all when the grout cracks. Entirely an aesthetic consideration, but the industry still calls it a failure.
My opinion; worth price charged.
