Swanstone tub surround - easy question !!!

What side faces the user: the "shiny" side, or the "duller" side ?

It's three-piece unit. The instuctions say that a sticker should be affixed the the side that goes towards the wall, but only one piece had a sticker, so the factory doesn't seem too concerned.

The piece I'm installing has a sticker that seems to be on the "shinier" side. However the shinier side also "seems" to be more bumpy, by feel, and in particular when you hold a bright light in front of it. Although you'd expect the bumps to show up (visually) more on the shinier side.

Anyways, you guys were a great help b 4 with my noobie floor tile questions, and Swanstone is closed for the day, so I'd thought I'd check in here and see if anyone had a definitive answer. Beside, even if I elect to call the factory, I'm never really sure about the knowledge of the folks that answer the calls.

I'm no Swanstone expert, but the samples I remember seeing all had a very smooth satin finish, not a shiny bumpy one. So I suspect that the label is on the back of the one piece.

Go Rutgers!

Jeff has it, the smooth satin side is what you want to see. The slightly bumpy side is towards the wall.

I called Swanstone, they said it used to matter which side was facing out, but it doesn't anymore due to a change in manufacturing. Now, it's up to the tastes of the customer. I agree, that satin side looks best facing outwards.
