Hydroban Board

It sounds like take 2 for Hydroban board is on its way. I'm just curious if any of you have been part of the field trials and what your thoughts are vs other foam boards.

A manufacturer with a board, sheet membrane and liquid that can "legally" all be used together is very appealing to me.

The last I heard that product was put on hold. My rep was going to give me some sheets to play with but they never got out of the lab. I have small samples. Of course my rep has left Laticrete so I have no "in" anymore.

They keep saying........I keep waiting.
It's funny, but the non release of hydro ban board converted me to a kerdi guy.

My two cents...Schluter has a long head start to have worked out the kinks. Not one to shun new things, but not sure this will be better, yet.

Hi Everyone,
HYDRO BAN BOARD is still on its way - I guarantee you will be impressed when you use it. Be on the lookout in the next few months.

This is the product Laticrete needs. I switched to kerdi board, now to wedi. Laticrete seems to be the one that could be a single source for a whole shower build.
I was using laticrete for most jobs, but slowly migrated elsewhere due to convenience. If this board utilizes hydroban or a sealant of some sort rather than banding, it wouldlikely bring me back.

Not that Im a big customer by any means, but Im probably not the only one waiting on this.

Hopefully they are smart to make a 4 x 8 board.

It sounds like nobody on here has gotten to play with it, but at least it SHOULD be on the way soon.

A 4 x 8 sheet is definitely needed. Hopefully they'll have those as well as 3 x 5.

Sharon,

It's going to have to be a really great product and time saver to out perform Wedi.

Best Regards

John
