Every job we go to I redesign for the client. Like the job I got a butt chewing for earlier, it was an A-frame house with a beam in the shower I wanted to disguise the beam in the shower best I could so I decided that should be the biggest mountain. I think It worked. All of these showers are one of a kind. I make templates for each circumstance. Only people in Tahoe with nothing better to do with thier money can afford the time it takes to do one. Thanks for you guys' appreciation! Even if I didn't follow the rule of where it posts.

Kirk, if you haven't noticed, you got a hot link to our friends at Contractors Direct up there where I think you meant to have a quote. I can fix that for you if necessary.

I'll fix it. You highlight the material you wanna quote and click on the little square-lookin' cartoon balloon in the row above the dialog box. five thingees to the left of the round green thingee you clicked on by mistake.

I'll delete all this extraneous dialog once you done figgered it out.

To be most polite, you should also always attribute your quotes you make that way. In the first pair of brackets add an = sign immediately after QUOTE with no space, then the name of the source of your quote, also without a space.

Try to edit CX into your quote above. If it works, I'll disappear alla this banter, eh?

Hi Trask, I'd like to see it. I don't know if it shows up well in my photo, but the corner in the back was coved, and the river rock went around the turn to the back wall. The sheets didn't want to bend to that radius, so we had to cut sheets apart and put them in as strips. It was a bit of a PITA.

Rob it sounds like a pain. We did the pebbles on top of the tile like a water fall at the customers reqest..Then it got really nuts..We ended up putting down plastic on drypack over the bench seat top and the customer sat on it for a true "custom" fit. Then we put pebbles over the contured seat. hope the customer never gains weight

Back from LA again Few more pics to share and looking for some help
actually. We have to set 3 of these carved alcoves about 4-5 feet up the
wall. In the first pic you can see a piece of slab marble, resting against
the alcove and will be its base. Our problem is in that we cant get our
fork lift into this room. We have considered a Genie lift but not positive
that it will work. The alcove itself weighs probably 3-4 hundred pounds.
Because the ceiling is open I thought of using a pully, but there is an over
hang of a few feet around the perimeter of the ceiling. Any ideas?

Here are some pics of the Alcove and some pieces that go on and around
it. The columns are in left and right pieces and sit under the arched header
with decorative caps.

Here is a shot of one of the walls that get the alcove. You can see the
ceiling and get kind of an idea what we need to do. The alcove will sit
on the concrete ledge you see in the wall in the background.

Jack I can't tell you how jealous I am..That's amazing stuff. I look at those alcoves and all I can think is BATHTUB

I guess you could always build a sand ramp to roll them suckers up like the prymids.

Jack..What do you think that room cost?

Jack, how about some kind of sheetrock or ductwork lift? Stone shops have elec/hydraulic/pneumatic lifting slab tables and the like.

Something like this- http://www.reflexequip.com.au/detail.aspx?Key=14650

EDIT- Skateboard? Wooden ramp? You are in SoCal. I got a buddy in long Beach, former Sims pro from the 70's, now a const. mgr. for that 12 story billboard/apartment bldg. in Hollywood. Also builds curved wood stairs. If you need a good consultant, PM me.
