Spacer size? trowel ?

Went and got tile ceramic and getting ready to be sure I have all the stuff I need. I have 6X8 tile what size spacers for a tub/shower surrond. What size trowel do I need /width

You can use 1/4 x 1/4.. that should be ok..if not use the 1/4 x 3/8...should be fine

Hey there Big Bob - 1/4x1/4 is fine, you might even go a little smaller, like 3/16x1/4 Vnotch if you want. I just started using wedge spacers for walls and love them. They're easy to adjust, just push them in or pull them out a little more. I used them for the first time on 12x12 travertine in a shower and they rock!

If you're going to be doing any floor tilewith spacers in the future, you can get 1/4" or 3/16" spacers and turn them on edge for thinner lines on the wall.

They were telling you what size trowel, either 1/4x1/4 or 1/4 x 3/8 square notch or 3/16 x 1/4 V-notch. Use the smallest you can get full coverage with, so you don't get squeeze out between the tiles.

Spacing is up to you, but try for 1/8" or 5/32" on a test layout to see what you like.
