Derrick
I originaly bought a berger pole and mount, this one :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003K2IRVO
It works well, super easy to set up and move. But I found the pole shook too much, tired of waiting for the line to quit moving if it got bumped.
So I moved it to the more rigid pole, much better.
The mount is pretty cheaply built to be honest, but it does work very well. Has micro adjustment screws for vertical. Just set it close on the pole and you have about an inch of vertical adjustment by turning a knob.
The kit is worth buying just for the mount.

What kind of pricing would that be? I "need" a new laser, the one you're clearing out looks good to me.

I'm closing them out so I'm open to offers. Feel free to PM me if y'all are interested.

Derrick,
This is the one I use. Fastcap laser mount
Worked fine for me for years. But now I want more!
Still works fine but the magnets they use now (got a replacement a few months ago for one I lost) are so strong that its actually hard to adjust. Instead of giving it a tap or a twist, you really have to give it a shove - which moves it too much.
Now I want an adjustable one like the Bosch wm1. But there isn't a picture of it anywhere that shows its magnet side so I don't know if it will work with a pole. Without purchasing another Bosch pole accessory.
Btw - the forum is hitting a dry spell. Gueuze plug in those neck bolt electrodes or do something to spice it up again!

Allright, the choice is . . .
Didn't see the value in it over the PLS2, until I saw a video showing the 180 degree lines on ceiling and floor too. That helps a lot. Still struggled with the 100 additional smackers, but then I played salesman on myself saying that "if it lasts three years thats only $3 a month more than the PLS2 and might as well git what makes the most sense."
So CX, you were right. It is a better choice overall. Thanks for everyones input and I hope all you guys still on the fence got some food for thought too.
Last thoughts on my decision - The Leica looked good, but when I think of Leica the first thing that comes to mind is "be careful - don't drop it." Yeah its a gut feeling vs any real knowledge, but the PLS units seem to be durable per every comment on this and other forums.
The Stabila looked good too, but its big. I dont know that a pole would hold it. Might need a tripod and thats not what I need in a small bathcave.
Bosch - been there and done that. Wanted to try something new.
Dewalt - no real feeling there. Likely a good unit, but the PLS started sounding better than all the more I read, listened and saw. And Marge got one so I just had to have one too. Thanks All

So does that mean that you bought one, Kevin? If so, where?

Yes. And Amazon. I had some other things to get on Amazon and paid the stinkin taxes on it, but rather that than order through multiple sources.
Price was $288 for me for the full kit with detector. Varied by less than $9 everywhere that was on the low end. Turns out that most web searches end up at Amazon, even for those really cool sites called:
ByCHEEPlazergood.com - A #1 Best Price. Get lazer cheep here today only. With all not parts and box big YELLOW!
You know thats got to be a guy in Indiana, or somewhere in the Midwest - right? Likely have to convert currency into Somali shillings I'd bet.

I think what CT actually has is a PLS-4, rather than a PLS-180. Her's has the really cool vertical dot option, which is wonderful for locating points on the ceiling from layouts marked on the floor. Not such a big deal, maybe, for tile installers, but for other new construction and remodeling functions it's exceeding helpful.
But it's a bit more bulky than the 180.

I like my Bosch plumb bob dot laser. Got it maybe 8 yrs ago and still paints a red one where I want it. So I have that when I need it (rarely), and so the 180 should do fine.
Actually I just did a 12x12" floor-wall tile install where the customer had to have floor and wall joints line up perfectly. Could have used the 180 then to make it a bit easier. Looking forward to its arrival.

I've been looking at getting a cross line, also.
Just about to pull the trigger on the PLS180, but...
When you all talk of the DeWalt which one is it?
This one?
Looks like it's got another line?

Never seen one like that. If it really has all three of those lines, a fella wouldn't need the extra vertical dot on the PLS-4, eh?

Geez. Didn't really realize how badly I needed to ditch the plastic hose siliconed to a cut off sprite bottle till I read this thread. Meh. Probably still have to bring the water level just to be sure the newfangled laser contraption was't trying to trick me with it's voodoo.

I ordered a pls ft 90 on amazon came today I love it, its smaller then my crappy spectra laser square and it shoots a + sign instead of a 90 degree angle. Seems like its built very well. Also uses AA batteries instead of C batteries and the case has a spot for my PLS 2 laser to fit in.
