6" x 8" tile with continuous lug: still need spacer?

Hello all.

I don't do much small gloss ceramic anymore, but I have a couple of showers to do with A.O.'s 6" x 8" gloss white from Lowes (vertical straight lay). These tiles have the continuous lug on them rather than the two or three per side.

What's the general consensus on butting these (continuous lug tiles) together? Are they actually still made to do so by the manufacturer? I did a search, and found some conflicting ideas on this subject from a few years ago.

What do you guys do?

I'm thinking the thinset always gets in between the joints and opens it up another 1/32th anyway. Sounds like you could butt 'em in my opinion.
