Removing year old Fusion Pro grout sealant from Porcelain

Hello,

We have a huge mess on our hands that we have spent months trying to get to the bottom of. We had our 12x48 matte porcelain plank tiles installed over a year ago with Fusion pro grout. The tile looked great for months and we didn't even realize we had an issue until after months of cleaning I noticed I was getting blotchy areas (clean either with hot water, or water/vinegar mix). Most of the tiles had a shine to them, and then there will be a big dull patch. I tried every mop on earth thinking it was something I was doing wrong and then I finally had a stone company come out and explain to me that it is the sealant that is mixed in with the fusion pro grout that is all over my tiles! Our tile installers came back and tried scrubbing with Aqua mix Seal and Grout remover, which did nothing. I have had multiple floor restoration companies come out over the past few months doing test areas and nothing they use seems to help (usually a stripping agent). Any one else ever deal with this? I'm embarassed that it took so long for us to figure out we had residue all over our new tile, but it really did look nice and uniform once installed. Please help. Stephanie

Your list of resources is impressive, however one you did not list is the one resource that can likely give you your very best answer. If you have not already, give custom building products technical support a call as they would know THE answer. Good luck.
