Appreciation thread

Did a quick search, and didn't see one of these.

Was looking back through my old posts.

I've come a long way in the last few years. I will say that yes, I was the one that put out the effort to improve and the will to learn. But were it not for this forum and the pro's that post here I would not have improved nearly as fast.

This was one of my first threads.http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/...ad.php?t=92576
I didn't even know how to do a shower pan. That seems so long ago, but check the date, 2011!!
The last shower I did was a steam shower. (I admit some will disagree with a few things, maybe more, about the way I built it. But I have my reasons.)
http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/...ost1319791From not knowing how to build a pan, to doing a two coat mud job in less than three years.

That just wouldn't have happened without you fine folks and your great advice, tips, and showing off the kind of work that makes a guy want to improve!
I thank you all!
And whether they even know it or not, my customers thank you even more!

erh…
Just want to make sure this does not come off as a patting ones self on the back thread. I really didn't intend for it to be that way.

Its a way of looking at things that I have learned from this site. And it transfers to other areas of my work as well. I spend a lot more time reading manufacture instructions for any product now. Even if I don't follow everything by the book, I do my best effort to have a full understanding of the process and reasons why before I start.
I wasn't that way before, and now I am.

So thanks!
Thats what this thread was meant to be about.

I'll second the idea that it's the folks who populate this place who make it worthwhile. We (moderators and owners) appreciate having y'all around.

I'll have to second what Brad wrote. I'm the same way stuck out here in the woods.
