tile inlay wet saw

I am doing tile images ( horses / griz. bears, salmon etc ) and have been using a apollo gemini wet ring saw.. the saw was initially made for stain glass work but it was found it works on ceramic tile as well.. it has been working for me on wall tile but only to a degree, and porcelain tile is very hard on it.. ( no pun intended ).

I have come across a few wet band saws on the market out of the U.S. ( diamond laser 5000 for example ). it looks like this is what i need but reviews tend to be pretty scathing as "made in China" seems to be the big concern.

Anyone using a wet band saw for tile image inlay and can you recommend a saw?
Richard from Northern British Columbia .. where there are lots of griz, fish, and horses!

Hi Richard.

I'm gonna move you over to the pro's hangout where you'll get more views from folks who might help.

Here's a thread title search in the Pro's Hangout i did using "bandsaw". You might try something like "art", or "inlay" or similar too.

tile inlay work

tried to locate the fellow in Whistler but he is off tool site so must have unloaded it.. oh well.. snooze you lose! thanks for the heads up tho..

I am now looking at some bandsaws that give option of diamond coated blade and optional water cooling system..
as i mentioned before, the dedicated bandsaws I have looked at seem to have some major issues so I am thinking why buy 2K worth of crap when i can get a $500 saw with cooling option and see if it meets my needs..

I will update post of I go in this direction..
