Circle Design Calculations

What is the easiest way to determine your side cut angles on a tile if given the diameter of the circle. Also how would you determine the exact number of evenly sized tiles that would complete the given diameter of the circle.

I believe the tiles are 12" and the diameter is a little over 14ft. The tiles completing the circle are black granite and the interior of the circle are 24" limestone and the outer area is 12x24 stagger joint limestone. Basically a tan colored floor with several 14ft black rings.

I have been reading up on brick/stone arches and geometry but its late and I'm confused.

Hey Kevin,

We used to take the square grid and calculate it on paper, draw the circle and overlay the square on it it is still square even though it running bond, the small pieces gotcha. Now I do it in CAD.

roughly you have 196 square feet of net. do 15% waste for cuts. If you have super small pieces due to room layout, then figure a full piece for it.
