Ceramic tile damage

I have ceramic tile flooring. I asked a contractor to perform cleaning of the

Oh and without even seeing em, if they were fine before they cleaned them, they screwed them up, are they stone or ceramic?

There are many different types of acid.
Do you know what kind he used?
How it was used?
