I've been in the Gulf Coast region long enough to know nobody can predict (accurately) the course of hurricanes.

Yeah, I'm north of Dallas about 40 miles but we still had some funnel clouds in the area. Our tornado sirens were loud and clear. They've been going off way too much the last few years. Got some heavy rain and a loss of electric for about an hour.

Friends from here were up in the Richardson area for an art show, Davy, and their motel was without power much of the night and into the morning. They also said the tornado hit a Home Depot, so you aughta maybe go by there and see if they're having a tornado sale, eh? Maybe get you some new Makita cordless tools cheap!

That's good yall are ok. My friend works up there for Atmos, was sending me pictures of some stuff he saw as he was being called out. Some places got it real bad.
I'm outside tornado alley slightly but wife still gets nervous when a big storm rolls in. Shes used to earthquakes, not wind blowing your house down.

The utility companies don't keep the trees trimmed back away from the power lines like they've done in the past. These days they wait for something to happen first. A lot of folks still without power.

Yep, I visit that Home Depot quite often. I'll be looking for a 18v Makita fan to help me sleep if the power keeps going off.

We had a storm a few month back, super winds. The power company's tree people were out cutting down trees and it started raining cats and dogs. Storm lasted about a hour and in that hour a monster branch fell on my power line, ripped the mast off the house. Then a roofer drove by and the ladder on his truck and ripped the Google fiber line off the house. 10 days without power, 2 generators running the fridge, freezer, tv, computer and a temporary window unit for AC (I can't sleep if it is hot and quiet)

So, we had a bunch of snow waaaay ahead of time this year. The kids Treat-or-Treating got snowed on! That was a first that I know of. Now it’s Christmas and we’ve got 60 degree weather.

I’d get one a them big ol’ barn fans and point it your way, but I’m afraid that would draw more cold air from da Great White North, eh? Brrrrrrr! So, maybe you’ll hafta be satisfied with only 35 acres, eh?

Mmmm, interesting concept. We're nearly always out of the snow season down here, so land prices aughta be a lot lower, eh? But they're not. Wonder why that is?

And land in south Florida aughta be damn near free, by that measure.

Sorry I missed your comments fellas, I obviously I missed them. I didn't get the 40 or 35 or even 5. Land prices are crazy I haven't found anything close to where I want be. My sister just bought a ranch in Tootle Oklahoma, If snow didn't pay so darn well, I would move down there with her and my nieces and nephews

side note just for a laugh. You never realize how much you use all the letters in the alphabet until those keys stop working on your key board, I had to copy and paste every single "a" and "z" in this post
