It's going to be 45 here today. This is unheard of for the first week in Jan in Minneapolis. Hi 30's for the next week. Very mild winter.

It was cold earlier this week, but dry, and these old bones don't get stiff.

It's warming up very nicely and I am comfortable.

It has been one of the driest winters on record in Salt Lake. I'm not complaining. I was able to float and set this outside deck over the last 7 days.Temps in the 50's thats about 15 degrees above normal. In the photo you can see the inversion we get when we have high pressure and no wind. Air quality is poor.

81 degrees in Houston today. Guess it's time to load up the fifth wheel and head north.

Don't come here yet, John. The snow and ice is dropping trees like a shooting gallery right now. I spent yesterday and today on the chainsaw and have a very nice pile in the front yard right now. We'll probably grind the stumps in the Spring though. You're welcome to swing by for that.

It was a beautiful week working in tee shirts along the gulf coast in Galveston. Looking forward to more of the same next week. Since the tiling is over for this bath remodel I may switch to shorts.

Shaughnn,

A little late for a white Christmas, isn't it? I heard most of it turned to slush.

I remember the sled I kept in the basement in Seattle and how I prayed for snow each winter so I could ride it down some of the hills up toward Wallingford. Hardly snows at all up that way nowadays. You should be happy.
