A new record here for latest start of rainy season.My shirt was soaked at 9:00 had to change,it's 5:00 a.m. and 80 degrees now.

No rain here. Just HOT. It's 93 degrees and the heat index is 105.

I did that last month or in late April. He was naked.

I'm going to take him to the groomer next week and have her shave whatever grew back.

Verrryyy hot but got 4 inches of rain the other night and lost power for 8 hours.I bet i fix my generator this weekend.

Shaving down a double coated dog is not the nice thing to do.
THe coat is the dogs protection from the elements. The undercoat of such a dog helps to insulate the body from cold and heat. They cool themselves through panting. Shaving the coat exposes them to sunburn, biting insects and self scratching injury. I know people look at a hot panting dog and think, oh she must be sweltering in that fur coat( because a person would)but their physiology is not the same as ours.
Simply brushing out with an undercoat rake will provide more airspace closer to the skin and fluff up the guard hairs to best insulate the dog from heat.

Thats about as gross as it gets levi.

Here its 72 today. 72 yesterday. tomorrow supposed to be 70. Seasons are non-existent here for the most part.
