Don't worry Kathleen, global warming is coming soon, of course you'll be under water, but at least you'll be warm.

It's 4 here this morning. On the bright side, it's supposed to warm up to 18 today.

All you Yankees are used to freezing anyway, but what kills me is that the overspray is drifting down this way. We're only gonna be in the forties all week. Lows are going to be in the twenties by the end of the week. We're not built for that sort of thing here.

It's still snowing.
The "flurries" were supposed to end at 1pm today. Well it didn't. It's 19 degrees, feeling like 1. Where's this so called global warming?

Wish I could take a trip south where it's only 50 degrees.
This is not a typical Long Island winter. Hopefully this is not an indication of what the rest of winter will be like.

So now you can just freeze to death. And you'll be dry when it happens.

By the end of the week it's going to be 24 degrees at night. I went out today and insulated the outside faucets. We don't have those hoity toity self-draining ones like you Yanks do.

Self draining outside faucets are a fact of life for those of us with bladder control issues

Burrrrrrrr. Highs in the 40s this week except Thursday when it won't even get out of the 30s. The ice we threw in the back yard Sunday is still there and it's in a spot that gets full sun all day. I know this isn't a big deal for you northerners but this is dang cold for us. On a more serious note, crops are in serious danger. Our peaches and blueberries, among others, can't take this prolonged cold.

A nearby animal shelter is housing our local animals. Our county's building isn't finished yet and even the big dogs would never make it in this weather.
