Hoping we will get a little rain again this weekend. Had to run the sprinklers again yesterday. Lost one rhododendron so far. Highs in the low to mid-90's the last couple of days.

Hot

It is so hot here today that it is on the borderline of too hot to set tile.
There is no air conditioning in most places here and when the temp is the mid to high 90's the mortar just sets up to quick.
Keep cool

Jerry,
Floated up a curb and laid down some DITRA today. That was about all that this weather would allow. Good news is that tomorrow I'll float the pan AND set it, then set a little floor tile after if it cools, as predicted.

Finally got some heat here today - 78 at the office (1/2 mile from beach), and maybe hit 70 at home. Whoopee, break out the tanktop and shorts

I was out with the devine M yesterday buying doggie comestibles and watched from my air conditioned bliss as the outside temperature ticked past 125F

Some very nasty T-Storms came through yesterday morning. The tornado was a F1 in the Islip area which is about 35 miles west of me. There were lots of power outages and flooding. My son who lives in Brooklyn ( 85 miles west of me ) was stuck on the Belt parkway for 3 hours due to the flooding. I was smart, I stayed home.

No No Noooooooooo Kelly. The tornado did not touch down in NYC It happened in Islip, which is in Suffolk County on Long Island . It's a suburban area with separate local governments, etc.. We are east of NYC.

Rained mosta five inches last night and this morning. Tried to go to work. Too much water inna creeks what cross over the roads.

Crossed a couple of'em, but got to the same one that ate my beloved Carmen Ghia about 20 years ago and it was higher than it was then. Couldn't afford to take a chance on throwin' away two trucks in one year.

Well at least you're home and not stuck on the road.
