Would like to ask some of you NW coasters to package up some of that rain and ship it down this way. My burn pile is getting pretty big, and the county won't let me put a match to it. Heck, we can't even do any wielding in the great out doors. But tee shirt weather in Jan. is nice.

Mt Baker not too far from me got 115" of snow at the ski area, last week alone. Broke the all time record for snowfall in a single week.
Jerry, how many consecutive days of rain now in Seattle? Must be getting close to breaking the all time record, eh?

Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain
Sure wish that John and Patti would get in the mobile home ASAP and head up this way with some of that warm dry weather they have down that way.
My god when will it stop raining? When they get that 115 inches of snow up in the mountains we are getting lots of rain in the lowlands. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't received another 100" of snow at Baker. Did you know that they hold the record in continental US for snowfall. Over 1000". Not that many years back either.
I lived in Valdez, Alaska for a number of years. It was not unusual for us to have 300-350" of snow every winter and Thompson Pass which is about 30 miles outside of Valdez has had 1300-1400 inches of snow some years. It melts about the time it start snowing again.
Just went upstairs and got the newspaper: 11.32" of rain to date this year.
Avg. 4.97 to date. 2.61" yesterday in Olympia Out along the ocean beaches 2.67 yesterday.
One of the reasons we are getting this constant rain is because it is bitter cold up in Alaska and the big high pressure up there is sucking the warm wet air out of the Pacific and right up here.
In Fairbanks yesterday -28 was the hi -33 the low.
On an up note: "Pollen season has ended for this year. Pollen counts will begin again next spring"'
It was 90 yesterday in McAllen, TX (where is that) come on share.
My rant and I'm sticking with it.

My brother Bob used to get on me for complaining about the rain in Seattle. He'd remind me that the annual rainfall in Houston is quite a bit more substantial than that of Seattle . . . until this year, apparently.
But Jerry, you had that drought all summer long. Now it's time to pay the fiddler.
We'll be along about the first of June. Please get it all sorted out before then, okay?

The record was set here in Phoenix over the weekend...over 100 days without any measurable precipitation.
The State has wildfire crews from out of state already here ...paying them to sit around...just waiting. It's the first time, in all the years we have had mountain property that we are really concerned. I don't even want to think about Da Bears bathroom and soon-to-be Pepe's bathroom burning.
Geez, just send us enough rain to clear the polluants at this point.
