We should start a "dead pool" on that thing, based on the number of showers before it starts leaking. I'll start it off at 1 shower.

Cary, I'm betting it leaks when they clean it before the first shower.

Kyle, it wasn't flood tested. Codes doesn't require that here.

My point earlier about alerting the HO took into account the fact that you've already commented on her post. So she already knows that you've seen the progress. Sooner or later she's going to figure out that you knew what was happening.
I look at how many people in the Advice section that have had a bad install. How many of them wish that someone alerted them before they through their money away?
What if this lady found out her bathroom was posted on a forum and a bunch of people made fun of the installation as it was in progress?
Anyway, I've made my point and won't push it any further.

I emailed the HO and told her the installation was wrong, that her shower is going to leak. Asked her to not tell her contractor I contacted her bc I wasn't trying to cause problems just trying to save her money from paying him for a bad job and then having to replace it. She immediately told him and he contacted me. I told him everything he is doing is wrong and that he needed to seek professional tile training. I even offered him my help and advise and he refused. He told me he backs his work with a lifetime warranty and that if it goes bad it's his business not mine.

Looks like his "lifetime" warranty is DOA...

I won't contact either one of them again. I warned them both. But I gotta keep checks on the pics just for laughs.

The way that shower was done scares me. It basically looks like how the shower in my basement was done and I used it for about a year. Mine was not used a lot until a 3rd room mate moved in but once it started to be used regularly the shit just hit the fan.
Some people just won't take advice and don't want to spend the money. I know a few of those people and actually had a talk with one of them today. The guy did not want to spend $100 on Redgaurd to make his concrete block wall shower waterproof. I just don't understand these kinds of people sometimes.

I didn't realize that it was the contractor's Facebook page, I thought it was the homeowner's. You've done all you can do, Dean.
It is interesting to see these in progress. I want to see how this all turns out.
