Brian,
Those are govt required safety stickers advising folks on how to stand in a shower.

Very nice, Marge.
Do the arrows point to where the bears are?

Marge,
The bears are either in or behind the trees right... That is usually where they are unless they are just walking around... I figured black trees, black bears they probably just blended in...
Looks good by the way.

Speaking of bears this was one. Amos, what do they say? Layout, layout, layout, the rest is easy
Shower pan tearout, as suspected no preslope and drain had cement in apparently they thought it was hair and had been using draino to try and uclog it. Later 90's build so it lasted over 10 years before major failure. Builder probably out of business though he may not have known about the lack of preslope. Getter done right.
Tore it out last Wed. let it dry out good till yesterday. Trailer full of the mud bed and liner in case anyone hasn't had that joy of an experience. Yesterday, I restructured the subfloor and added bunch of sister 2X6's, new p-trap, new 3/4" plywood on top she is strong now. Still have to remove some tile at the base so I can tie the new waterproofing in. Got to rebuild bench today too and then new mud bed. Adding insulation before I put up the cement board.

Jon,
I love the way your old mudbed sparkles in the sunlight. Whenever I tear one up, it doesn't look that good.

Ray, I set the flash to sparkle mode to juice things up a bit
Ready for mud, bench rebuilt the same size per the homeowner and to cover up the missing tiles. Finpan pro panels over the sides, brushed brass schluter kerdi drain.
This is the tile going on the floor, no actually that is the floor mat. I actually saw some tile like this today at the distributor and the striking resemblance to the floor mat. I could buy a bunch of these mats and do a feature wall

Old mud sparkles.
New drain sparkels.
Floormat sparkles.
No hoe sparkle.
Arimert- nice cuts.
Marge- nict trees.
Frankenhack Monday. Absolute black shelves with Fein tool and wet pads. Indoor. Mess free, though not quite the lucid mirror a 2500 rpm rotart tool with a full water feed gives, but it's a 3/8" edge.

Gueuze, if you do that regularly you might wanna look into the sanding pad attachment for the Makita. Good bit larger than the one for the Fein. Adapting might be a problem, but you'd get support under more of your diamond pads. Think Bosch might be the same, but not certain of that.
