Bathroom remodel pics

I have been visiting the website for quite awhile and can't begin to list all the great things that I have learned by reading the advice columns and forums.

I enjoy reading the remodeling threads and love to see the pics, so I thought I would get off my butt and contribute. Here are pics of my bathroom remodel I finished a few months back:

Nice! I've never seen anything like that wooden structure between the sinks (I don't get out much though).

Last pic of the aquarium filter system.

The big wood thing is a a hutch. I thought it was a nice break between the 2 sinks and it allows for more storage. With a wife and 2 daughters you can NEVER have too much bathroom storage. I got the idea from a pic I saw in a magazine.

Ok ..I took a pic of the aquarium in the dark. It's a custom tank around 20 gallons. It is rounded in the front like a television tube. The pics do not do it justice.

..and it's a PITA to clean =) Have to use alot of special tools I made with dowel rod and tubing etc..

Great looking work. Did you mill the oak trim?

Thanks for the compliments.

I bought all the oak trim from the HD. Took about an hour to sift through what they had for enough nice straight uniform pieces. Cut and routered the shelves myself.

In a few months I am going to start my downstairs bathroom and will send in pics as I do it. I have to top the aquarium so if you have any ideas..let me hear em'.

Mermaids! No way! There are already too many chick things in the house.

How about a football themed bathroom or hockey! I'm a huge Red Wings fan.

Seriously if anyone has seen or heard of some projects that are a little off the beaten path, I'm interested in hearing about it or seeing pics.

I was going to do a glass block shower with some type of internal lighting for effect, but I would hate to kill myself if I ever had a leak =)

Wow!! Very nice.good job! AB I like custom things like your aquarium, those are inspiring.Nice storage hutch also. When Frank mentioned Mermaids it reminds me of the Palms in Vegas with the ladies swimming for your viewing pleasure at one the bars there.uh... Breathtaking if you know what I mean. again nice work
