I have never done a commercial job, but seeing what passes as "tile setting" in most restaurants and stores bathrooms and floors I have to ask, are there any standards any more?

whats weird is when I do a restaurant it seems like I have inspector super duper and project master ace on them.
they are all over stuff looking at it.
I got a zero item punch list on the bank I just completed and 4 other commercial jobs I did this year.
it's the remodels that try to get the jobs shut down and reopened that look bad.

maybe he was locationally confused

he is in the stall . . . maybe he confused where the "crap" was supposed to go

Kind of reminds me of those famous " spiders on drugs" pics

I wonder if this installer was is a spider

The drain being in the wrong place is a possibility or perhaps the guy was a recent graduate from The Ray Charles School of Tile Setting, I dont know. The only thing stranger was the picture on the guys face who walked in on me when I was snapping the pic on my Iphone. Must have thought I was some kinda nut case.

I'm ripping out part of a Kerdi shower that was installed by a jackleg.

So I guess this post and following post on this rip out could go in multiple threads.

The worst job you have ever seen thread.

The jackleg thread.

The have you ever ripped out a Kerdi job thread.

Hate to possibly blind some of you with this horrific image, but I couldnt resist. Besides I know you love seeing this stuff. I was truly dumbfounded over this one. I mean some poor stiff obviously spent some time on this!?!?
