Most people do not need the stopper on their vanity sink, so the linear drain makes for a neat install (they're not inexpensive, though!). The KerdiBoard lends itself very well to this sort of thing. For a vertical sided sink with some curves, you could use the Kerdiboard designed to bend into curves, but I do not think it would be easy to make a truncated funnel - you may need to carefully cut radial slots from the back rather than parallel ones you can get from the factory. Classy looking vanity sink!
