I got the patience Paul, looks like you are taking your abilities to new heights

Nice shower Ryan, yes those units aren't cheap but imagine what a plumber would charge to rough in all those shower massaging valves they will rarely use anyway

Thanks Laz, yes not sure why he bought an offset drain pan, the guy who sold him all the Schluter stuff may have told him he needs it. He already had it so not much to do. I haven't used a foam pan in 7 years but since he bought it I used it.

That looks great Paul!

Is the blue tape like face tape for mounting them?

Yes, until the clear face tape arrives. The place that sells it is an hour's drive away, but is closed a few days a week. I'll send a worker up there Monday.

My self-made grid / tile holder is finished so we can start making our own smaller, face mounted sheets.

1x1 daltile arctic white and nautical blue stuck together from the back side by those rubbery connectors. Been around as long as I remember.

Made my own grid so we can start face mounting upside up. I have a plastic, factory made 3/8 and a 3/4 grid but not a one inch, until now

Looks awesome Paul. Hope the local youth don't use it as target practice.

Paul, Why don't you use watered down school glue and brown paper bags or craft paper When the glue drys I flip it over on a sheet and use shelf liner on the back to transport Or mud it to kerdi after you flip it and clean off the paper before putting it up

Look up “Indirect Method” for hints.

We put the finishing touches on this bathroom remodel today. We took it down to the studs removing the 20 year old cultured marble shower tray and walls. Everything you see is new; walls, floor, cabinets, counter, plumbing, electric, venting... The slab guys cut it so tight to our flat tile work there was precious room for caulking to the tile. The glass guys did ok. But they installed the door upside down.
