Another job finished up (pics)

finished up the tile for my parent's bathroom remodel. 12x12 Claros Silver travertine with matching mosaic on shower ceiling.

just out of curiousity, how much would you pros have charged to do something like this? there's something like 25 linear feet of bullnosing i did around the shower and 80 sqft of total tile.

Awesome job!

Did you cut the diamonds out yourself or did the tile come like that? I have to figure out a consistent way but my layout is going to be diagonal so each edge gets two cuts.

My parents got it from the Tile Shop. Here's the product:

Chuck,

Thanks. I still haven't gotten around to starting my stairs, that is if you remember.

I had to cut everyone for the 2x2 inlays. i basically clipped 1.5" in each direction off of one corner of a tile. measure 1.5" on direction and make a mark, measure 1.5" in the other direction and make a mark. a framing square makes a nice tool to connect the dots, and then cut.

Nice job Chris. I'm not normally a fan of fiberglass surrounds, but that one looks great. You happen to remember who makes it?

why did they use all that nice marble and then go and use a fiberglass surround ?
would have looked good with a full marble shower.

i think they still have misconceptions about cleaning mildew and junk from grout lines. i tried to convince them but....

the one thing that the surround has going for it is that it brightens the room up quite a bit. it's hard to tell in the pic, but the room is quite small.

Deckert-

I didn't buy it so i have no idea, but i'm fairly sure they got it from Lowes.
