Grout + sealer

Hello again, I have tiled my bathroom and grouted. I want to install my toliet ASAP as I have been without for 3 days. Will it be a huge problem to seal around the toilet? I have to wait another 72 to seal and I really need a toliet!

Set the toilet. Grout it to the floor. Wait a week. Seal.

Are you saying the toilet gets grouted to the floor?

Set the toilet now, Michelle, but don't grout it place.

You can seal later following the directions from the manufacturers. Many want you to wait 72 hours after grouting.

I don't think it matter when you set the toilet or seal the floor.

I would set the toilet and seal afterwards, I don't think having sealer under the toilet matter and or sealing around it harder with labor.

I went ahead and set the toliet. I intend to apply the sealer this weekend. I have installed a ceramic tile. I was wondering if I have to seal the whole tile or just the grout lines? I was wondering what the point of sealing is. Is it for staining of the grout lines?

Michelle -
Most ceramic or porcelain tile don't need to be sealed. If your tile gets a little darker when it is wet with water then its a candidate for sealing.
And yes the whole purpose of sealing is stain prevention....
