Lightbulb Remove Sunken Tub

We have a 1970s style tiled tub. No real tub, just all cement and tile. This is sunken 8" into the ground. We have a cement foundation. We'd like to remove it, level the floor + put in a new tub. What trade would do this work? Can this weaken our foundation?
Thanks.

I split your post from the other thread and moved you to the advice board so you'll get more attention.

If you were to bust the concrete walls down to the floorlevel, then fill the remaining pit with concrete, I doubt you would damage your foundation at all. I don't know which trade would handle this, though.

How do you plan on dealing with the water supplies and drain?

Welcome, vacpeterson. That's waaay to difficult to spell. Wassa you front name?

As Bob is hinting, you're gonna have several trades involved in this. If you're not willing to do it yourself, I'd suggest you find a good local remodeler to contract the whole project.

Or, of course, do the whole thing yourownself. No rocket science involved, but a lot of sweat work in the initial phases. Save mucho dinero. If you're willing to do it, we're willing to help. Not with bustin' the concrete, though.
