Ok, got another question for you guys. How do I do this? I want to put his accent strip at this height for various reasons. So I can't move it but as you can see it goes right over the center divider in my niche. I'm doing the bullnose tiles like the wall ones on the inside of the niche matching up with the outside tiles. How do I do the accent where I need to trim it smaller like the divider? And how do I back the part that overlaps like how I did the tile?

I'd prefer to move the layout of the mosaics to line up better on the niche, or, if that's not possible, close in the niches a little (make the divider taller).

Don't even think about ripping the mosaics lengthwise.

When installing these accent tile strips any special procedure? When I first tried they were sagging and I couldn't keep them up. Do I use the same thinset? Do I back butter?

Lightweight or non-sag mortars make those installs easy. Mixing any sticky mortar with minimum water, within manufacturers recommendations of course, can work fine too.

I'd also use a small towel, flatten the notches to create an even setting bed of mortar, and tap the tiles in lightly with a small block of wood. A Ditra trowel or v-notch would probably work fine.

Okay, I'm now at the point to install the floor pebbles. Which way would it be easier to grout and silicone the edges? Do I finish the wall tile above the floor pebbles and silicone that gap or do I run the wall tile down and then install my pebbles against the tile with a gap for the silicone? I'm concerned about how hard it will be to silicone and grout.

Also, should I cut the stones while on the sheet or install them as they are and cut pieces to fit the gaps near the edges?

I'd install floor tiles first, for those fairly flat pebbles, then install the lowest wall tile course down to the pebbles. Leave about 1/8 gap for caulk.

Grout everything first, then use 100% silicone in all corners within the shower.

Try to cut while on the sheet. Running a couple strips of white masking tape over the sheet edge helps keep it all together and makes it easy to see the line. Have some clean dry towels handy, and clean & dry both sides of the sheet immediately after cutting. If needed, after taping and marking the sheet, cut the individual tiles off the sheet to cut them.

What should I do to keep grout out of the areas I need to caulk? Will silicone stick to grout? I'm using Spectralock pro. I'm using Latasil caulk. What about around the drain? Grout or caulk?

Also in my niche, do I caulk all the 90 degree corners or can I grout the whole thing with Spectralock?

Don't worry too much about keeping grout outa there, just try not to force it in. Let the grout firm up a bit, then carefully 'cut' the grout out with your margin or tuck pointing trowel. Use a light touch with the trowel so you don't damage the waterproofing.

Latasil will stick to tile & grout no problem. Let grout cure for a day or 2 before caulking.

I grout around all drains and everything inside & outside of the niche.

Sorry if I've already posted these in here already... SpectraLock Pro Premium throughout, Latasil only at inside wall and floor corners & around shelves/footrest in corners.

I attached a pic of the stones I will be using for the floor. What notch size trowel should I use to lay it? Do I leave the grooves or flatten before I put the stones on the thinset?

Can't tell how thick they are, but start with 1/4 x 1/4. Knock the ridges down if you get mortar comin up through the joints. Experiment a little.
