Pedistal sink backsplash

Hi folks,I installed a corner pedistal sink in our bathroom. The sink has a small backsplash built in.The wall behind it is painted drywall.I was wanting to install a tile backsplash to protect the wall, but didnt want it to stick out like a sore thumb.Any suggestions or photos?

Thanks,Glenn

tile the area the same color as the wall paint or the sink itself. The usual tricky point is how to end the tile - what the perimeter of the tile will look like

Can't find the pic, but did one a while back and used chair rail to picture frame an area behind a pedestal and went slightly darker than the wall colour.

Lots of options here... but

if the sink's sculpted on the top, may be easier to install the splash first. Layout the height & center with the sink in place, then remove sink to build the splash.
