Sounds like the Windex is a same-day film remover and the alcohol is for next day maybe? I'm assuming this isn't blue Windex. Can anyone confirm that?

At the time I still didnt hear back from my rep. I always carry Miracle Epoxy Grout Film remover with me. That is what I used. A slightly damp rag of it cleaned it up with no problem. It was overkill but it worked. It is a nice grout to work with.

I have been working on a for a booth at Coverings.
Laticrete furnished all setting materials including Plasma grout.
The table is red glass so I was sent Dazzle Candy Apple to add to the translucent Plasma.
I wasn't happy with the color match so I went to an industrial paint store and got metallic epoxy floor coating tint.
I mixed the Dazzle and metallic cooper tint into the Plasma and was very happy with the result.
The Plasma was easy to use and when Ron Nash of Laticrete came to visit me 3 days later at my warehouse the small amount I still had in my bucket was still fresh and usable.
Good grout Laticrete!

Two more jobs with Plasma. The color was Raven. I have to say you need to get every drop of water off the floor or it will leave a residue. Windex did nothing. Even with a microfiber towel wipe there was residue. Miracle Epoxy Grout Film Remover to the rescue. Mapei Flexcolor CQ so far is way easier to clean up. Still cant understand why the field trial buckets left no residue but the final version does.

Has anyone figured out if there's a way to mix small batches of Permacolor Select? A call and message to Laticrete technical yesterday yielded no response, as usual. What's up with Laticrete customer service these days? Henry? I know he no longer visits us here.

Greg,
We've been mixing small batches of PCS. The idea is to use a color pack to save the powder.

In a clean pail of water measured out for one color packet, drop in a packet and mix it into the water. In a separate bucket with the amount of powder you'd like to mix (<one bag), only use what water you need to reach a good consistency for the amount of powder you put into the bucket.

Toss the water when finished, keep the opened bag.

Awesome Brad, thanks. Thought of trying that, just wasn't sure if the color stayed fully suspended in the water. I'll give it a shot.

Color is pretty consistent with full batches previously installed?

So far we haven't had any shading issues. The way I understood it, you can't "over or under color" because the coloring is tied to the consistency.

At one point they were offering "shaker kits", basically a watertight canister, to use for small batches.

Hi Greg,
Sorry to hear that you didn't hear back from Tech Services yesterday, so I wanted to respond as well. As Brad described in his response you can mix smaller batches.

Most often, half-batches are mixed. This way, one color pack is used to half a 25# bag. Then, another color packet can be used for the other half of the bag "later."

Hope this helps.
