SpectraLok Pro with honed Marble wall tile - Liberry info didn't work

The tile installer has done a sample which was intended to review the potential for 'picture-framing'. While this doesn't appear to be a problem, the marble shows residue after cleaning. Specifically it looks 'streaky-wet'.

The honed marble was sealed before grouting. I don't think you can wash with vinegar with marble tile -

Any thoughts or comments?

TJ, we have a thread in the Liberry on Epoxy grout. Down there in Post #5 are SpectraLock haze removal instructions written by a Laticrete member here. Go check it out. The solution depends upon how long the grout's been down.

OK - we followed the Liberry instructions on cleanup after Spectralok Pro using dishwasher detergent, etc. -

It didn't work - we still have streaks on the honed marble.

Is there a working cleanup technique for this or do we have to abandon the idea of Spectralok on honed marble??

Gettin' way late for the normal clean-up proceedures for that grout, Jeff. Time to contact Laticrete , methinks.

You might also ping Robert, one of our resident Laticrete reps, give him a link and ask him to visit this thread. If he can't help you here, he's very likely to arrange for some specific help offline.

My opinion; worth price charged.

Giving up on SpectraLok Pro with marble

Tile Contractor can't make it work with honed marble without streaking.

I think we're going to try Polyblend

Are you going to seal the stone? If you seal stone first then grout with the SpectraLock Pro it will help on natural stones. The natural stone want to suck alittle of epoxy resin in. This should you right up. then you don't have to go back and seal later. The grout does not need to be sealed.

Hope this helps

I've combined you with at least one of your other threads on this subject, Jeff. Please bookmark this one and use it for all your project questions or comments so folks can see the history and know what you're working on and what's been previously axed and answered.

Marble is presealed -did not help.

Followed Liberry instructions - did not work.

Followed Laticrete rep recommendations - did not work.

So I guess it's a no-go.
