I think you'll generally find that the price increase for 1/2" glass over 3/8th" glass is, how you say, noteworthy? And seldom worth the cost.

My opinion; worth price charged.

All the options I found so far online (Aston, Dreamline, Glass Warehouse) are 3/8 glasses. I am not looking for 'substantial' feel but clean, easy to operate.

Will call a couple of local store to see their pricing.

2 of the 3 companies aforementioned offer 1/2 inch incremental widths. and have about ~1/4 inch adjustment.
