Rough-In drain close to the wall

My question being when you want to have a linear drain that is basically flushed up with the finish wall tile and use the kerdi system, the flange seems to be too big to get the whole assembly close enough to the wall. Do they make a specialized drain assembly for close quarter drains or am I not thinking this through correctly?

I haven’t seen something like that John, but what about the actual round disk part that gets installed over your plumbing stub out?

It is a kerdi round drain Houndzillla, I just can’t figure how that round disk gets that close to the wall to get a linear drain installl flush to the the finish wall.

you dont use the round bonding flange. you use this

What’s the minimum distance from the stud to center of the stub out on that Mike?

How far from the wall is the KERDI-LINE linear drain installed?
Directly against the wall, so that the channel body support is in contact with the wall. The drain outlet is approximately 2 1/8" o.c. from the edge of the wall board.

And by the way that is exactly the product I was looking for. Could not understand how I’ve been seeing these tighter quarter drains with the traditional flanges.... unless they were cut.

They’re just under 3” wide so shouldn’t be more than 1.5” from center of drain to the edge.

Look into the Noble freestyle drain. It's meant to butt right up to the wall and the drain pipe glues into the drain so you don't have to worry about those hose clamp thingies.
