Steve0454, looks good! Biggest house to date for me was 15k feet. Can only imagine doubling that amount.
Royce, you look like you are having too much fun.
Steve, that is some ugly tile work.

I'm with Steve, I will never rely on the liquid waterproofing as a pin liner, its just too new to me. What if something moves and it cracks, CPE pans for me. I like the hydrobarrier, its priced perfect for me.

I trust the liquid pans. Certain ones done correctly anyway. Technology and Craftsmanship go well together.

Mer-Krete hydro guard one with the fabric in all corners/transitions. Haven't used a pan liner in 4 years, no leaks.

I used the Mer krete for a few years. Good product. The only reason I switched is because of the local Daltile's godawful customer service.

I did an extremely large and odd shaped steam shower 6 years ago and discovered kerdi for it. I liked the idea of the membrane being on top of the mud bed and the walls. I then found Mer krete, then various other liquid membranes. I do about half my showers w/ kerdi and half w/ liquid. Both have advantages in certain situations. I probably won't use a CPE liner again if I don't have to. That's just my preference.
