Don't worry he is tough, his Dad made him and his brother grout on a Saturday afternoon.

Ok I withdraw my comment for your sons' sake Isaac. They look like dedicated workers. If they are anything like my sons that small grout job probably cost you an expensive sushi dinner and a movie.
I was simply stating a personal opinion which has no professional value whatsoever. Everyone knows you can't post any pics or comments here without receiving someones unsolicited criticism. I have done a few better benches myself...so don't be all butt hurt Dieter

I was just having fun, without opinions this would be a boring place to be a tile nerd.

I know Isaac...all good. When you gonna join facebook anyway? Cute kids. Love working with my boys, even though I don't get as much done it's rewarding to see their interest and excitement for things.
Gary nice floor btw. I bet that doorway cut was a pain eh. Well done.

Sure about that Mark, I think your personal opinion has a boatload of value though I agree nothing beats having your kids help you and that makes them feel good even if you don't get as much done. Yesterday I let the boy help out where I was doing a splash. I cut out a damaged tile in the floor where Mom had dropped a Pyrex bowl which didn't break but the tile did. I let him run the shopvac and he stepped right up. When his friend came over he was telling him the whole process of how he cleaned all the debris up. Got him away from his iPad for 10 minutes....
As for the bench debate we all do em differently. Does the better bench give you room to actually sit on they look so small or are they mainly used for shaving? I just put another 18" radius in and as I sat on it that was barely enough to be comfortable on and I only go a buck and three quarters.
Nice floor Gary, I like your helper too. Nice demo Paul, an 8" curb ain't a bad idea you can stretch your hammies in the morning.
Just finished this fiberglass to tile conversion minus the glass door. Gained 5" of depth. Nice when your ten minutes from home, in Olde Stone Way, Annville.

Thanks, and yes it wasn't easy, I think I made about 5-6 trips out to the saw...
Thanks Isaac and Jon.

First use of the Rondec trim for me. I like the look in these.

I like the look of that rondec too Dan. Nice work. I wish I had more jobs where I could incorporate that.
Finished up my longest master bath job ever, about 350 hours in this room...I posted some pics of the shower a few weeks back, here's the floor. If I measured right the border will wrap the perimeter of the vanities.
Bathroom 2 of 7 in this house. Fortunately the rest will go a lot quicker.

Looks fantastic, Mark.
The squeeze bag is clever. How well does it work?

Thanks Jim, it works awesome actually. I was surprised. Took me maybe 2 hours to mask and screed 150 linear feet with very little cleaning afterwards.
